We have been manufacturing cooling equip-ment since 1932. We have been producingenvironmental test chambers since 1952and our export - more than 60% of our totalproduction - places us among the largestmanufacturers in Europe. Our Quality System

markOur systems are manufactured according to safety Europeanstandards.They also conform to the European standards forelectromagnetic compliance (EMC). EMC tests are conduct-ed in our laboratories inside an anechoic chamber (350 m3).

ISO9001 Since 1995 holdthe ISO9001 Quality System certification. In1989, Angelantoni Industrie had alreadyachieved the military AQAP4 certification.

Environmental protectionOur refrigeration systems utilize only those refriger-ants that have not been forbidden by the Conventionof Montreal and by the London and Copenhagenamendments.These are the refrigerants used: R404A and an R23gas mixture. As an alternative, a version using natur-al refrigerant is available.New-concept CFC-free polyurethane foam has beenused for thermal insulation.All connections and welding in the refrigeration sys-tems have been carefully checked by means of a he-lium leak detector (mass spectrometer) to ensurelong life.

Our experience

It could be now useful to spend a few wordson quality, reliability and assistance. All im-portant words that are often misused. That iswhy we prefer to use simpler but more con-crete terms to describe our products: the fol-lowing pictures show you an ‘ancestor’ ofyour freezer which could reach temperaturesdown to –104°C in 1961 already.It took several years, however, before

Service doorManufactured with the same features as theframe. Complete with anti-shock polystyreneinner door. Magnetic silicone rubber gaskets.Self-balancing hinges for chest models.Spring lock with key for all models.

Inner doorsUpright freezers are complete with insulated,anti-shock polystyrene inner doors to reducecold air loss during door opening. Chestfreezers are complete with aluminium-coat-ed polyurethane sub-lids.

Internal chamberMade of 18/8 AISI 304 stainless steel withrounded corners for easy cleaning. Theevaporator consists of a copper tube woundaround the internal chamber and fixed to itusing a patented technique which ensuresmaximum temperature uniformity inside thefreezer.

Thermal insulationObtained by means of the so-called ‘sand-wich technique’, using CFC-free foamed

polyurethane. 140 mm average thickness ofthe insulating layer.

Refrigeration systemCompletely sealed and based on a specialcascade cycle, our exclusive design (singlestage for –40°C freezers), this system fea-tures two hermetically-sealed compressorsusing CFC-free and HCFC-free ecologicalrefrigerants (ODP, Ozone Destruction Power= 0).R404A is used for the first stage whereas anR23 gas mixture is used in the secondstage. As an alternative, it is possible to usenatural, non-synthetic refrigerants. Air-cooled condensers need no water connec-tion.This hermetically-sealed system ensureslow-noise operation (max. 55 db) and longlife without any particular servicing opera-tion.

Control instrumentsControl panel with membrane keyboardmounted on an aluminium fitting. The controlpanel consists of a microprocessor card di-vided into two sections: one for temperatureregulation, the other for the audible and visu-al alarm system control.It is equipped with an automatically-rechargeable buffer battery.The alarm system is already fitted with a nongalvanic contact for remote connection; it de-tects any rise in temperature as well as pow-er failures. Special alarm for air condenserobstruction included.

To store biological material,have developed and

produced unique copolymer polypropylenesectional boxes allowing storage space to beoptimized.The special construction of the boxes allowthem to be easily flattened after use, thussaving precious laboratory space.Extremely resistant and easy to sterilizeinside autoclaves, they represent a valuablealternative to expensive stainless steelcontainers.Ideal for use inside freezers down to –90°Ctemperature, their surface allow easy writing

with marking pens.As an alternative, water-repellent cardboardboxes and dividers are available; theywithstand temperatures down to –180°C.Both cardboard and copolymerpolypropylene boxes are available indifferent models, varying in height only.All boxes may be completed with specialdividers, available both cardboard andpolypropylene in several sizes (please referto the table hereinafter). Both cardboard andpolypropylene boxes may be put insidestainless steel racks for easy handling insidechest and upright freezers.
