Downloading eBooks with your Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Nook HD or Nook HD+

Using OverDrive with the Oak Bluffs Public Library

Open the App store. Search for the OverDrive Media App.

Tap Confirm. Tap Open.

Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.

Tap Settings.

You will need to perform a one-time authorization of your device, using your Adobe ID. Fill out the

required fields.

If you do not have an ID, you can get one by tapping the Get a Free Adobe ID. It’s easy, and

only requires a name and email address.

Tap Authorize.

Tap the Back arrow at the bottom of the screen to return to the Menu. Tap Add a Library.

Search for your library by name, city or zip code.

Select your library from the list.

Tap the star beside the library to make it a favorite (and so you don’t have to repeat these

steps again.)

Tap the CLAMS name beside the star to view the CLAMS OverDrive collection.

Sign into your OverDrive account with your library card number and PIN.

Tap the Account icon to set your lending periods for eBooks.

Tap Settings.

Choose your lending periods. Tap Save when finished.

Tap the Menu icon at the top to view the OverDrive collection by subject, or…

Search for a specific title by name. Advanced Search will give you more options for searching.

Available titles will have a dark gray icon. Unavailable titles will have a light gray icon.

To place a hold on an unavailable title, tap the cover, and tap Place a Hold.

To add an item to your Wish List for later viewing, tap the ribbon below the book cover.

To only view titles with copies available, select the option from the list.

When you find a title you want, make sure it’s in the correct format (EPUB or Adobe PDF.)

Tap Borrow.

Many titles can be read directly in your browser, or…

Tap Download, and tap EPUB. Tap Confirm & Checkout.

You will see a message that your title is loading, followed by the notification that your title

download is complete.

Tap the OverDrive Menu icon in the upper left corner. Tap Bookshelf.

Tap the cover of the eBook to start reading!
