WHO WE ARE The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) is the professional association for the Public Sector. It serves people interested in strategic issues, policy, reform and innovation in public sector management. IPAA NSW is a not-for-profit organisation promoting the relevance, integrity, reputation and intellectual rigour of the Australian public sector.

All of our events and professional development programs are designed to improve the capabilities within the sector.
This guide explains IPAA NSW’s Professional Development Pathway and
includes a handy calendar listing all IPAA events and courses.
IPAA NSW courses have been mapped to capability streams based on the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework, with behavioural indicators incorporated to help individuals and managers select courses most appropriate for the organisation’s skill requirements and to assist with professional development plans. Our courses are designed for different skill levels and progress from
introductory to advanced levels and on to formal qualifications.
All of our courses are available as Customised Agency Programs. In-house delivery offers flexibility in content, length and timetable.
