Parent Guidelines
Spend 10-15 minutes quality time discussing work – don’t expect children to do the work totally on their own – we don’t !
Homework should be completed in a distraction free zone
Encourage co-ordination skills on an on-going basis: colouring in, cutting out, sticking, model making, correct pencil grip
Encourage correct formation when writing letters & numbers
Encourage respect for books and presentation of work – remember the finishing touches such as colouring pictures
Encourage enthusiasm by bringing in items relating to topic work eg photographs
