Economy
• State economy has performed reasonably well in the Eleventh Five Year Plan with actual growth rate at 7.2% in Agriculture & Allied sector and 8.9% in Service sector
• The percentage population below poverty line in the state (24.8%) was lower than the national average (29.8) during 2009-10
• Average Annual Growth Rate: 8.46% during the 11 th Plan period
• The year 2010-11 (P) saw a growth of 15.3 per cent

• There are 9 deemed universities and 20 universities in Rajasthan
• There are over 1032 colleges, 51525 primary schools, 11606 secondary schools and 6010 senior secondary schools
• State government is aggressively pursuing a policy to achieve the goal of universalisation of elementary education. It has spent over 4.6% SDP on education
• The Congress Government has more than doubled investment in Education

Mukhyamantri Anna Suraksha Yojana
• Anna Suraksha Yojana – Reforming PDS. Commitment to provide foodgrain security to BPL families – 25kg of wheat at Rs. 2/kg
• Launched by the State Government from 10.05.2010– 25 kg wheat per month is provided to BPL families @ Rs. 2
per kg (Rs. 1 per kg from 2013‐14).– BPL Families can take fortified flour with iron, folic acid an
d vitamin B12 @ Rs. 3.60 per kg in place of wheat.– 10 kg fortified flour per month is also being provided to
APL families @ Rs. 8.10/8.60 per kg (Rs. 5/kg from 2013‐14)

Mukhyamantri Nishulk Dawa Yojana
• The most popular scheme of the Congress Government• Patients going to Government hospitals are provided with
essential medicines and necessary surgical items for free. • Started from October 2, 2011.• 600 most commonly used essential drugs provided throug
h 16,907 Government Drug Distribution Centres.• Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation has been establish
ed to look after the purchase, distribution and to monitor the quality of drugs.
• From the start, over 90 crore persons have benefitted, and just last year 52.5 crores persons benefitted.

Mukhyamantri Gramin BPL Aawas Yojana
• Started from June 2011, 6.80 lakh dwelling units under this scheme and 3.20 lakh dwelling units under IAY would are to be constructed by 2013-14
• Financial assistance of Rs. 50000 (Rs. 70000 from 2013-14) is provided to the BPL families to construct a house.
• An additional grant of Rs. 9,000 is also provided to construct toilets with each house.
• Houses sanctioned since inception are 6,02,418, and completed units are 2,31,954

Mukhyamantri Shahri BPL Aawas Yojana
• Launched from August 30, 2012.
• Target to construct 5 lakh houses for urban BPL families during the next five years.
• Financial assistance of Rs. 50000 (Rs. 70000 from 2013-14) is provided for construction of houses.
• Administrative Sanctions Issued for 111052 houses

Mukhyamantri BPL Jeevan Raksha Kosh Yojana
• Launched from January 01, 2009, this scheme is for BPL families including State BPL, Disabled, Old Age and Widow Pensioners, HIV, Thalassemia & Hemophelia Patients, Astha CardHolders, Sahariya & Kathaudi tribes, beneficiaries of AnnapurnaYojan, Nav Jeevan Yojana and Antyodaya Anna Yojana
• It gives Free medical check‐up and treatment
• Free indoor and outdoor facilities are being provided at all Government medical institutions and health centres.
• APL persons with less than 1 lakh annual income also covered
• Indoor patients treated till now are 12.51 lakhs and outdoor patients treated are 135.46 lakhs

• Life Saving Fund Scheme – a total of 124.34 lakh patients (both OPD & IPD) were given free medical treatment facility at Rs. 129.31 cr
• Rajasthan Guaranteed Delivery of Public Services Act 2011 – Makes available services for day to day works of people in a set time frame
• There is a guarantee for getting 153 services relating to the day to day works of the public and welfare schemes available.

• CM’s Free Live Stock Medicine Scheme –provides the necessary medicines mostly used for treatment of livestock at government veterinaries

• Interest Waiver Scheme on Repayment of Loans on Time – the state government will pay subsidy worth Rs. 200 cr this year of making with Rs. 1 lakh worth of short term crop loans of cooperative banks interest-free after taking a historic decision of waiver of interest on repayment loans on time.
• 25 lakh farmers will be eligible. State government has sanctioned Rs 48cr against the interest subsidy of Rs. 100 cr

Rajasthan Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana
• It was launched in 2011 in all 33 districts to bring maternal and child mortality rates in the State
• Under this scheme there is free transport facility to pregnant women and sick infants
• Private ambulances, taxies and other vehicles and 400 janani express vehicles to provide transport facilities from the remote villages to the hospitals
• Launched in all the 33 districts on 12 September2011 to bring down maternal and child mortalityrate in the State

• Mukhyamantri Uchcha Shiksha ChhatrvattiYojana: Launched in 2012-13 to support the first 1 lakh brilliant students of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan who are from economically weaker families
• Scholarship of 500 per month will be provided to the students to encourage them to pursue higher education

• Rajiv Gandhi Digital Vidhyarthi Yojana: Launch in 2012-13.
• Laptops are provided to first 10,000 students of 10th and 12th class on the basis of merit in their exams
• First rank holders of Class 8th of all 35,819 Government upper primary and higher schools.
• Tablet-PC will be given to 2nd and 11th ranking holders of class 8 from 2013-14

• Rajasthan Garmin Sadak Vikas Yojana: Launched in 2012-13 to connect the unconnected villages having population between 250 to 499 by road
• 663 villages have already been connected
• Project to connect 1854 villages is underway
• 500 villages with less than 250 population to be covered in 2013-14 with an expenditure of Rs. 585 crore

Infrastructure
• The total road length in the State is expected to be 1,92,551 km as on 31st March, 2013.
• During the year 2012-13, about 1,903 km Black Top (BT) Roads have been constructed uptoDecember, 2012 under different projects.
• Connecting 500 villages having population between 100-250 and 1854 villages having population between 250 and 499.
• Formation of Special Road Construction Fund for construction of rural roads, missing links, damaged roads, roads connecting to religious places etc.
• Strengthening and renewal of 6000 km rural roads.
