Ohio moves to the Common Core Standards
Kindergarten standards are aligned with the common core state standards. You can find a link to the common core standards at:
More information on the standards will be presented at open building night in August.
ImmunizationsThe law requires that each student have completed his/her immunizations prior to kindergarten entry. Your child cannot attend kindergarten until we have records of the immunizations or an exemption form on file. Please note that you could have this done before screening and we could make copies that day.

Kindergarten Screening-Parents
Plan for the screening to take about an hour.
I will meet briefly with you to gather information about your child. There will be a few forms for you to fill out.
You may want to bring something to do or read while you’re waiting.
Kindergarten Screening-What time should I sign up for?
If you sign up for a time when your child will be attending preschool, preschool staff could take your child to the screening. It would be best for you to come in near the end to discuss the results.
Feel free to sign up when your child is not normally in preschool and come with your child to the screening. *This is the best option
Talk with your child’s teacher if you have special requests.
Anything goes!
