What is UCP? The Uniform Complaint Procedure is the method
districts use to resolve any complaints alleging unlawful discrimination in district programs and activities based on actual race, color, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, or genetic information; the perception of one or more of such characteristics; or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics

What is the Change?Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying must now be included in all documentation that refers to unlawful discrimination.
Why change? Assembly Bill 9 or “Seth’s Law” mandates
that harassment, intimidation, and bullying is unlawful in school programs and activities
FUSD will be reviewed by CDE as part of the Federal Programs Monitoring process
The district’s UPC policies and procedures must reflect the most current legislation
