Trish McMillan, MSc, CPDT-KA, CDBCDirector, McMillan Animal Behavior, USA

Trish McMillan holds a master of science degree in animal behavior, andis a certified professional dog trainer, certified dog behavior consultantand associate certified cat behavior consultant. She worked for theASPCA for nearly eight years, first as director of animal behavior at theirNYC shelter, then helping assess and rehabilitate dogs from crueltycases, dogfighting and hoarding situations, and researching, writing andpresenting on animal behavior topics.

Trish owns McMillan Animal Behavior in North Carolina, where she livesin a tiny house on her farm, Pibble Hill. She is also VP of Behavior andTraining at Instinct Dog Behavior & Training.

Trish shares her life with two horses, two goats, three dogs, four chickensand two cats. Her professional work includes training and behaviormodification work with dogs, cats, and horses. She speaks and consultsnationally and internationally on animal sheltering issues, dog, cat, andhorse behavior, dog aggression, and defensive handling.

Trish currently co-chairs the Shelter Behavior division of the InternationalAssociation of Animal Behavior Consultants and runs their popular onlineshelter dog behavior mentorship.

We will explore successful programs, innovative ideas, and help you increase adoptions, even of harder toplace pets.
