WemonitoredTwitter,Facebook,blogs,newssites,imagesharingandvideosharingplatformsbetweenMay10th2013andJuly10th2013.Eachmentionwasthenautomaticallytaggedforsentiment,gender,location,languageandthemostimportantphraseswereextractedfromitinordertocomputekeymetricsandcreateconversationmaps.

TheresultisasimplesnapshotofkeyeventsandinsightsaroundtheTravel&HospitalityindustrybetweenMay10thandJuly10th.

HiltonbrandconversationswereaffectedbytheTurkishprotestsinlateMayandJunetwice,whichcaused2hugespikesindailymentions.EventhoughHiltonwasmentionedinthiscontextforonlyafewdays,thatstillledto17%ofHilton-relatedconversationsbetweenMay10thandJuly10thtooriginateinTurkey.
