3. Top down Design 1
Open mouse_sketch
Click sketch 2, hold ctrl and click sketch 3. Insert Curve projected. (Blue 3D
curve) insert 3D sketch. Click the 3D curve, Convent Entities . (Black 3D sketch)
Extrude Surface ,
Direction to Extrude: Top plane.End Condition: Middle plane.
Extrude 2mm.

Loft Surface from the sketch 1 to the bottom edge of the surface, (see the figure)
Start/End Constraints
End Constraints: Tangency to face
Tangency Length: 1.5.
Select Right plane, draw spline, add Pierce relations, set the end point to Tangent.
Loft Surface, set Tangency to Face and normal Profile. Mirror all surface by right
plane.

At the bottom, create a Planar surface .
Knit surface , clickall surface, checktry to form solid.
Show sketch3, this is parting line.
Right plane, insert sketch, convent sketch 3. Then exit sketch. Rename (Click F2 Key
the item) the sketch to Parting line.
Click Split ,
1. Trim Tools: Parting line2. ClickCut Part.
3. Click the body to keep.
4. Select Show bodies.

You can find two solid bodies in Sold Bodies folder. Rename the bodies.
Right plane, insert sketch, create a sketch as shown. Split part.
You can hide or show the bodies to make features independently. And then shell
the bodies one by one.

Insert Part. Open rollor.sldprt. Click OK once, then moves the roller by adjustX,
Y, Z to the position as shown.
Click indent ,
Target body: the mouse button
Tool body: the roller
CheckCut
Clearance:0.5 mm
Show only the mouse button body. Click the right plane, Split part.

In the Solid bodies folder, you can five solid bodies. Rename all the bodies.On the Solid Bodies folder, Right click, Save Bodies.
Resulting Parts
Check all the file save box. This saves the part
individually.
Create Assembly
Click Browse.
Type a name of the assembly. E.g. mouse_asm
Click Save
Click OK

You now have an assembly created by splitting a part.
