Tumor Characteristics
Uncontrolled Cell Growth
Low ph Cancer cell is more Acidic (lessthan 7.35 ph.)
Cancer cell voltage is less than 40 millivoltsin advanced stages, compared to 70-90 inhealthy cells.
Cancer cell oxygen is less than 60.
Oxygen can not enter the cancer cell Oxygen level in the blood of cancer patients
is around 75-85 in advanced stagescompared to 98.

Radiotherapy
Lowering of bone marrow causes lowred and white blood cells, Tirednessand Fatigue, confusion, loss ofappetite, Heat and burning sensation.
Works on a wide area and has a badeffect on good healthy cells.
Has a bad effect on the nervous systemand on the reproductive system
Statistically 5-10% do not survive the
treatment.

Nutrition and Nutritional
supplementsNutrition: Difficult to take in and to
absorb
Supplements: Costly and not provento have beneficial properties.
Works on the whole body, but does
not effect the tumor directly.

Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture- Energetic Medicine can
cause metastasis.
Chinese Materia Medica Can boostthe body but can not penetrate the
tumor
Chi-Kong Difficult to practice and
can make the patient tired in the
beginning

Treatments Advantages
Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy are:
the only treatments beside operationsused by conventional medicine.
These methods are helpful on sometypes of tumors but even so thesemethods does not cure cancer.
Psychologically it gives the patienthope and feeling that he gets the mostadvanced medicine.

Nutrition and Nutritional
supplements Nutrition Boosts the body,
important for survival, importantbalance of proteins, fats andcarbohydrates for maintaining goodlevel of energy and Immune system.
Supplements Same as above, some
can penetrate the cancer cell andraise P.H level to kill the cancer cell.

Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture Activates circulation of Chiand Blood, Releases stagnation andcontrols pain, Invigorates the immune
system by boosting the formation of whiteblood cells, enhances the bodys energyby raising red blood cells and thehemoglobin level, Increases the oxygen
blood level, Balances the whole Body,Tones the Zang Fu, Balances yin-yang,cold-hot, deficiency-excess and interior-exterior
-

13/33
Chinese Materia Medica
Toning Chi and Blood, boosting the
chi level of specific organs,
eliminating poisons from the body,
Maintaining and treating the body
between and in conjunction with
acupuncture and other methods of
treatments, supporting digestion andbowl movements, rebuilding body
substances.

General Ideas and thoughts in
the use of Chinese Medicine Cancer Tumor etiology is
differentiated into two groups:
1. Damp and Cold2. Cold Damp
It is important to diagnosed theoriginal cause which can be theDamp or can be the Cold.
In pathology coldness can causedampness and dampness can
cause heat.

Treatment combination
When we treat a patient having
conventional treatments we have to
take into account the influences and
the side effects that the treatment is
having on the patient in Chinese
Medicine terminology.
-
8/7/2019 The Use of Acupuncture and Modern Techniques in the treatment of Cancer
17/33
Example of combined treatment
For example a patient with damp cold
or cold damp who is having
radiotherapy can present heat
symptoms because of the heat
nature of the treatments. Of course it
is false heat and if we cool the
patient we will do his pathology moreharm than good.

Chinese Medicine Etiology
The most accurate diagnosis that can bedone is according to the patients date ofbirth (Tian Gan Di Zi). This ancient method
is the only one that goes back to thepatients birth energy balance andimbalance. All the experiences of life fromthis point of interaction with heaven and
earth energies only make the imbalancebigger or smaller. It is a must to analyzethe patient according to this methodbefore starting treatment of the patient.
-
8/7/2019 The Use of Acupuncture and Modern Techniques in the treatment of Cancer
19/33
Example
A patient born in the 1st half of 1979.his stem is Spleen in Earth which
gives a tendency to dampness inthe body, his branch is Smallintestine which deals withabsorbing post natal chi, his
climatic influence is Tai-Yin whichincreases the level of dampness inthe body.
-
8/7/2019 The Use of Acupuncture and Modern Techniques in the treatment of Cancer
20/33
Example
This patient has a born tendency toform dampness in the body, so the
method of treatment will be moreAcupuncture to activate circulation ofchi, to transform damp and to raise chiby chi-kong. The treatment will vary if
the stagnation causes heat or if cold ispresent in the body.

Combination of Treatments and
points to consider
99% of our patients are having a
combined conventional and Chinese
treatment.
This fact puts us in a difficult
position as we have to take into
account the disadvantages and the
bad influences of conventionalmedicine.
-

22/33
Chinese medicine terminology
When translating these influencesinto Chinese Medicine Terminologywe deal with almost every
disharmony that exists.
The disharmonies can vary from thedeepest level of Jing that is being
diminished by Chemotherapy andRadiotherapy up to the level of Tai-Yang.
-
8/7/2019 The Use of Acupuncture and Modern Techniques in the treatment of Cancer
23/33
Chinese medicine terminology
The level of Tai-Yang as an exteriorenergy, cannot resist any abnormalchanges and the interaction with
external influences.
As a result of that the 8 extrachannels are not functioning
properly and this influences thewhole Zang-Fu system

The Treatment
For treating a cancer patient we mustlook at the whole picture and take intoaccount all the details that I have
referred to in this very shortpresentation.
From my point of view ChineseMedicine is a must for every cancerpatient as it is the only medicineknown to me to be able to maintainand to reinforce the patient selfhealing and to bring cure and health.

The Treatment
When we come to build the principle, strategy and the detailed protocol for
each patient we have to look back tothe nature of a typical tumor.

Understanding the Tumor and
The Way of Thinking
1. Helping the patient survive the
conventional treatment and
eliminating pain:2. Cancer cell voltage is less than 40
mill volts
3. Raising Oxygen level4. P.H Balance

Helping the patient survive the conventional
treatment and eliminating pain:
Acupuncture Points as:
St-36 (zusanli)- Earth point, Sea of nourishment, balancing the nervous system, boosting the immunesystem, controlling pain and toning the Chi
Sp-10 (xuehai)- Sea of blood, building blood and yin, boosting renewal of red blood cells, activating circulationof blood and chi.
Kid-9 (zhubin) Point of yin wei mai, affects yuan chi, working on the kidney chi.
T.H-9 (sidu)- toning the spleen, gathering the chi fromfour directions to retransform it in the spleen andtransport it throughout the body. Boosting the whole
body chi.

28/33
Cancer cell voltage is less than 40
mill volts
A normal cell has around 90 millivolts, so
we see that the cancer cell doesn't have
enough voltage to generate energy. By
using the following special methods weincrease the voltage in the cancer cell:
Using as many magnetic acupuncture
needles in the tumor area as possible,
Placing heat pads or an electromagneticlamp, which together activates chi in the
cell.

29/33
Raising Oxygen level
As we saw earlier the blood oxygen levelin a cancer patient is very low. Oxygen isvital for maintaining life and for the
healing process of the patient. For quick increase of oxygen we can
inhale pure oxygen that gives animmediate boost of energy and/or doingChi-Kong or any form of exerciseeveryday for 40 minutes in open space.(the sea side is recommended as the levelof oxygen is higher there)
-

30/33
P.H Balance
As we saw, the Tumor can survive only ina very acidic environment ( less than 7.35P.H.). In a more alkaline environment the
cancer cell dies and the tumor dissolves,so we need to penetrate the cancer cellmembrane to change its P.h. to the levelof 7.8 P.h. When we succeed in doing this
oxygen and other killing agents will beable to get into the cell and destroy it.
