What will an Apprentice earn?• The majority of Apprentices are employed full time• On the 1st October 2010 the Government introduced
a new minimum of £2.50 per hour• Usually start at £95 - £100 per week• Average weekly salary of £175 (2010 survey)

When can an Apprenticeship start?• Apprenticeships can be started at any time
throughout the year, as long as you have finished full-time education (first Monday in July)
• Start speaking to providers and employers early, don’t leave it until the end of the year
• Jobs are advertised from March onwards for September starts
