ABOUT THE MANLEY AND DORISEVE THALER JASS CONCERT AND MASTER CLASS
Celebrating the tradition of jazz, this concert is made possible by a generous gift from the
Thaler/Howell Foundation and Manley and Dodie Thaler. The Thaler/Howell Foundation,
through the efforts of Manley Thaler, also endowed both the Rachel S. Thaler Concert
Pianist Series and the Louis K. Thaler Concert Violinist Series, bringing outstanding
pianists and violinists to perform annually for the Ithaca College community and residents
of the surrounding area. The Manley and Doriseve Thaler Jazz Concert adds to that,
presenting some of the finest contemporary jazz artists in annual public performance
at Ithaca College’s School of Music.
This performance is made possible in part by the Doris Duke Performing Artist Awards program.
