I am delighted to share with you the second chapter of our 2013 Calendar of Events, bursting with even more uniqueexperiences for you to sample. Why not try your hand at driving around the historic motor circuit at 160 miles per hour,

doing aerobatics in a Bulldog or kicking your heals off and partying the night away at our Lawrence of Arabia party? For theanimal lovers amongst you we welcome Charlotte Lassetter to The Kennels for a dressage demonstration of supreme control

and elegance and we have introduced a dog walking club being led by specialist trainer, Sarah Miles.

We are also hosting an afternoon Tea Party in support of national children’s charity, Dreams Come True. This event is occurring nationally with 5,000 people taking part, so why not sneak back from the racecourse to enjoy tea

and scones on the Putting Green before placing your last bet!

Now that we are kicking the season off, I am hopeful that the Summer is here to stay and you won’t be needing

your Mackintosh! So looking forward to seeing and watching you enjoy your club’s events.

The “History of the Ashes” charts the growth of early cricketleading into the creation of the Ashes – perhaps one of the

greatest sporting contests between two countries. Presentedby Peter and Christopher Pyemont, playing members of MCC

and previous players of club cricket for Eastbourne in theSussex Premier League. The presentation will use wonderful

old film footage combined with slides, music and anecdotes tocover many different aspects of the fascinating story.

Under the guidance of Estate Head Keeper, John Newton,head out at daybreak and experience stalking and calling a roe

buck deer for John to shoot, ready to enjoy as a feast withfriends and family. Then return to The Kennels for a much

deserved breakfast. Your prized shoot will then be hung andprepared for you both and up to 8 guests to enjoy at

The Kennels from 10 days later.

If you would like to shoot the deer yourself, some shooting practice will need to be pre-arranged.

Walk the red carpet and discover your inner Bogart or Bergman before enjoying a martini and delicious canapés.Dance the evening away until champagne and fireworks at midnight to mark the beginning of the New Year.
