The Harvard University Graduate School of Design educates leaders in design, research, and scholarship to make a resilient, just, and beautiful world.
Every question that is urgent today anywhere in the
world—questions of economy, environment, politics,
technology, social value—has design repercussions.
To address all of these questions, we have to reach across disciplines:
through engineering, design, and technology; through politics, the
environment, and policy; through relationships, equities, and culture.
The extraordinary thing about design is that it touches so many issues.
It’s the most relevant discipline because design creates the world around
us at the scale of the network, the region, the city, the landscape, the
building, the chair, and even the fork. All of these scales, these relations,
and these connections construct our collective future. I’m so excited
to be part of a school that puts this future at its very center.
Thank you for considering a gift to the GSD and membership in Josep
Lluís Sert Council this year. Your gift provides the resources needed to
support our students and faculty, who together create meaningful change
and impact the future of design.
