you haven’t yet been tosit the State Coal Mine inonthaggi, here’s a greatportunity to do so anda part o history as well.
unday March 13th, romam to 3pm, the State
oal Mine in Wonthaggihaving the Coal Miner’s
ountry Fair. Not only isis a long weekend, bute date commemoratese 100th Anniversary Eastern Mine; with
storical bus tours one day to various minelated sites in Wonthaggi,ve music, market stalls, mping castle, animalarm, and loads o activitiesor young and old.
ve long been a supporter this historic site as it’s a
ace where you can actually
go and see AustralianHistory in person by takingan underground minetour and seeing exactlywhat our miners had toendure. But you can alsowitness the mateship andcommunity spirit still inexistence by seeing thecountless volunteers whoassist with the runningand maintenance o theState Coal Mine ouristAttraction today.
I’ve been going on the toursor years now, and each time
I go back I learn somethingnew. Some o the actual tourguides taking you on the tourabove ground and belowactually worked at the minewhen it was in operation. It’s really exciting to gatherin the hard hat room or
a pre- tour brieng. Yourheart races as you prepareto go underground, andnothing prepares you or thedark dank conditions whenyou start to descend. As aneducational tool, the mineis brilliant rom a social, historical, and geologicalaspect. As a un amilyactivity, it’s interactive,in ormative, and loads o
un!
Te Friends o the State CoalMine (the largest volunteergroup in Parks Victoria, numbering around 200members) are calling on allex employees o the mine tocontact them and registerto be an official part o this100th commemoration. Exemployees should call 035672 3053. Te event is open
to the public and activitiesand entertainment will beprovided. As this is againa volunteer run event goldcoin donations would beappreciated on the day.
You can’t leave a place suchas this without it havingtouched you in some way. Ialways leave eeling amazedby what our ore athersendured and touched by thegenerosity o the volunteers.
Sunday March 13 is going tobe special, so come and be apart o it.

Kathy Burgstahler Real Estate is the rst fully mobile realtor withno of ce. Kathy is able to sell real estate in all parts of Victoria, specialising in real customer service and taking real estate back toa trusted profession with a family realtor.
Because Kathy is not restricted to a particular region and makesfull use of the Internet Kathy’s buyers come from all over Victoria(and even interstate). As a result, she tends to sell property quitequickly, even those that perhaps had not previously sold via themore traditional methods.
One of Kathy’s many achievements was a recent sale of a propertyin Wonthaggi within 14 days for well above the asking price.

athy started her career byeciding to venture intoe corporate world. Sheent over 30 years working
or major multinationals, aining staff in customerrvice. At the time, sheccess ully identiede trend or Australian

rom overseas withoutconsidering that our marketis different. She saw that thiswas affecting both staff andclients in a negative way anddecided to tackle it head
on. Kathy decided to turncustomer service trainingon its head- by taking theemphasis OFF statistics andkey per ormance indicators– and take it back to goodold ashioned customerservice, with training being
done FOR staff and notO them. Staff retention
levels increased wherevershe worked, along withcustomer satis action. As aresult, Kathy would nish
up with one contracted roleand be invited straight intoanother.
aking a brie hiatusin 2007, Kathy and herhusband relocated toQueensland. Purchasing anold rundown Queenslander
on acreage, this is whereKathy discovered her loveand talent or real estate.Afer taking one year tocompletely renovate thehouse with no outside help, and getting involved withproperty development, thepair returned to Victoriaand settled in CardiniaShire. Kathy began to work
at various real estate rmsand started volunteeringheavily in her community.
Working in many o themajor real estate ranchiseshad made her realise thatshe wanted to do thingsdifferently. She decidedto take her 30 years ocustomer experience anduse it turn real estate on itshead this time.
Kathy started her ownagency back in January 2014,with NO office- the rst ullymobile real estate agency inVictoria. She is a sole trader, with no ranchises either, and ocuses on good old
ashioned customer service.
Because o her philosophyo putting her clients rst,she has gained many repeatcustomers and gained morethrough word o mouthre errals. Kathy believesin not listing anything andeverything to satis y herbottom line, she is aboutdoing what it takes or herclients. One client recently

had this to say about Kathy-“thank you seems insufficientto show my gratitude for howshe handled the sale of my property. My boys and I feltlike we were truly importantand not just a way for herto earn an income. It shonethrough at every singlemeeting that she genuinely
cares and how much she loveswhat she does. Nothing wastoo much trouble. In fact, shewent above and beyond witheverything. From the minuteshe walked in, everythingwas about us.”
Another two clients never

athy also has a passion giving back to hermmunity- somethinge says she learned romatching her ather. Treears as President or local resident groupw her getting a lot otis action in creating asiness discount schemecouraging residents toop locally. Tis also led
her being awarded the

or 3 years at a local nursinghome, assisting the elderly, and presently sponsorsseveral community gardens
and is assisting otherresidents’ groups to getestablished.
Another outstandingachievement in Kathy’scareer was when she was
eatured in “ op AgentMagazine” (A worldwidePublication eaturing topagents around the globe)and was chosen to be on theMay 2015 cover.
Kathy also loves spendingquality time with herhusband. She has made acommitment to try andchallenge hersel once amonth to try some sort ocrazy adventure. She hasmade hersel a “Bucket List”which she intends to tick off.Tis helps her to live by hermotto o being the best shecan be and also motivatesher to try new things and
to challenge hersel . Terehave been some un andzany things that she hasalready ticked off so ar,such as climbing the SydneyHarbour Bridge (to ace her
ear o heights), doing somehot laps in a V8 supercar& off road rally car (sheended up covered in mudand giggling her head off),and even pushing herselto go clay target shootingwith a rie (she had blackand blue bruises all overher shoulders and arms, butloved every second o it!).
Any spare time that shehas is also spent doingthings in Gippsland. From the second she andher husband returned toVictoria rom Queensland,Kathy ell in love with thearea. From climbing MountCannibal, to hiking in the
arra Bulga National Park, visiting the undergroundmines at Wonthaggi and
Walhalla, and Coal Creek inKorumburra, and to relaxingat the beaches o Inverlochand Phillip Island, exploringGippsland is Kathy’s hugeobsession.
Te resh ood and produceis second to none in heropinion, the people sogenuine and down to earththat she eels right at home, and there are just so manythings to see and do inGippsland that Kathy can’tget enough! Gippsland is hermain place to go outdoorsand exercise, her main placeto buy her ruit and veggies, and her main place to goand relax.
Kathy is particularlypassionate and excited aboutbeing able to sell residentialreal estate throughoutGippsland. Because she ismobile and sells everywhere,ne of Cummunity Garden Kathy Sponsors

Shedid this by making ull useo the internet advertisingit ar and wide, and bymaking up in ormationpacks on Wonthaggi whichshe personally deliveredto all prospective buyersalong with some reshproduce rom the area!
