Animals • There are a wide variety of
animals in Deciduous Forests such as bears, squirrels, mice, deer, raccoons, and deer.
• Some other animals that are native to the area but cannot be eaten are elk and bison because they have been hunted to near extinction.

• Flora is characterized as 3-4 trees per kilometer squared.
• Some of the kinds of trees in the area include• Oak, hickory, beech, hemlock, maple, basswood, cottonwood, elm, and willow
• Also, there are some spring-flower herbs
• There are three layers of plant growth• The first layer of growth is tall trees that make a canopy over the forest
• The second layer of growth are saplings and naturally smaller trees
• The third layer includes shrubs
• A fourth layer includes wildflowers and berries
• A fifth layer is made of mosses and lichens

Threats
• Bobcats, mountain lions, timber wolves, and coyotes are common animals in the forests that can bring a threat.
• Although many of these animals have been killed to almost extinction because of their threat so, they might stay away from us.
