ENERGY SAVING FEATURES
Outdoor ResetConserve energy by operating the system at the lowest practical temperature. As the outdoor temperature changes, the control adjusts supply water temperatures to compensate for exterior heat loss.
Warm Weather Shut DownShutting down the building space heating based on the outdoor air temperature provides energy savings as well as a reliable and convenient way to shut off the system.
Zone SynchronizationHeating cycles between zones are coordinated to reduce boiler cycling.
Pump Post PurgePrimary system pumps and in some cases boiler pumps are purged to make use of residual heat from the boiler.
Shared Setback SchedulesSetback times entered in one thermostat or timer can be followed by all connected tekmarNet® devices.
ScenesThe entire building can easily be set to an ‘Away’ status when occupants are away outside of scheduled times.
Automatic Boiler DifferentialEnsure longer running times and reduce boiler short cycling.
COMFORT FEATURES
Optimum Start / StopBy learning the response time of the heating system, tekmarNet® Thermostats ensure the zone is up to temperature at the scheduled time.
Indoor Temperature FeedbackInternal heat gains or losses are combined with outdoor reset calculations to better maintain the desired temperature without fl uctuation.
Domestic Hot Water PriorityEnsure adequate supply of domestic hot water during times of peak demand.
SYSTEM RELIABILITY & PROTECTION
Pump ExercisingDuring long periods without operation, pumps are exercised to reduce the chance of seizing or other failure.
Equal Run-Time RotationIncrease the system’s service life by ensuring the boilers receive an equal amount of use.
Remote AccessInstallations with a tekmarNet® Gateway provide secure access via the internet. Homeowners can remotely adjust temperatures, and installers can remotely monitor system operation and receive status alerts via email.
The tekmarNet® Building Control line is based upon modular components that combine to create a single, integrated
HVAC system. With capacity for up to 96 zones on several water temperatures and the ability to intelligently stage
and rotate multiple boilers, tekmarNet® Building Control Systems can match nearly any application.

tekmar’s two wire products make it easy to retrofi t with tekmarNet®. Two wire devices are identifi ed as tekmarNet®2 (tN2).
With tN2 Thermostats, you can use existing 2 conductor, 18 AWG wire to replace old thermostats with models that offer the energy savings, comfort and convenience your customers want. Power and communication for these thermostats is provided by a tN2 Zone Manager, Zone Expansion Module or Wiring Center.
