NAIT Forest Technology students are making a difference in
one of the worlds largest ecosystems Canadas boreal forest.
Covering 82 per cent of the nations total forest area, the boreal
forest is beneting from new reclamation practices that re-establish
native plant communities in different ecological zones. An ongoing
NAIT applied research project, involving students, faculty and
researchers, is focused on reclaiming land previously used in
conventional oil and gas operations.
Its the kind of research that denes NAIT research that
addresses industrys challenges with relevant, real-world solutions.
