Tips & Tricks
During the planning stages: KISS – Keep it Short and Simple
Make one big presentation into several smaller ones
Outline your presentation, including mouse clicks, search examples, etc.
During the writing/scripting stage:
Tell people what they are going to see and what they should learn
Include both words and actions, including “callouts”
Have someone ELSE read the script before beginning to record

During the practice stage:
Read the script aloud How awkward does your writing
sound? Do mouse movements while reading the script?
During the recording stage: Find a place with no audio distractions
Leave blank space at the beginning and end of a recording (for editing purposes)

script!)
