The LPD-Series antennas are comprised of dipole elementsconnected to a parellel pair of square Aluminum crossarms thatform the antenna transmission line. To accomplish end fire logperiodic operation, the elements are tapered from the front of theantenna to the back. These rugged 50 Ohm Log Periodic antennasare maintained at D.C. ground potential through the grounding ofthe crossarms at the rear of the antenna. A ground wire attached tothe crossarm mounting of the cable fitting will drain off static buildup and provide lightning protection.

The LPD Series Log Periodic antennas are rugged for harsh environments. Two models are available LPD-7 and LPD-12. These Log Antennas are broadband and have flat gain levels across the entire frequency range. This broadband design minimizes de-tuning caused by ice. The antennas are cantilever mounted for ease of installation. All mounting hardware is included to mount up to a 3” O.D. pipe. The antennas are made of aluminum for light weight and longevity.
