Bargaining Update

Ascension Executives love to call healthcare workers heroes. Yet, they have been forcing us to work under an expired contract since before the pandemic started.

This if the FOURTH time that management has shown up to the bargaining table without making any new proposals.

Management wouldn’t talk about staffing levels. Management wouldn’t talk about wages. Management wouldn’t change a single word of any of their proposals. Their conduct is insulting.

Borgess nurses are not alone in being treated this way by Ascension. RNs in Rochester and Grand Blanc also have an expired contract.

We want to finish negotiations, but it doesn’t seem like the administration does. The ball is in their court. We’re back at the table Monday.
