INTRODUCTION
Orange Coast Analytical is a state-certified, independent testing laboratory built with a
commitment to excellence. Evidence of this commitment is our extensive program of quality
assurance and quality control that guarantees the production of valid data. We strive to achieve
this quality through cooperative working relationships and multi-level reviews. Responsibility of
QA/QC activities begins with the bench scientist and extends to the President of the Company.
We have our analytical and field quality control procedures on standards for good laboratory
practice, specific WPA and other approved analytical methods and the Handbook for Analytical
Quality Control in Water and Wastewater Laboratories (EPA 600/49-109).
Our laboratory services include sample collection and analysis of air, water, wastewater, soil and
hazardous waste. Each analysis is performed using only the most modern, state-of-the-art
equipment available. Our sample tracking system is designed for smooth, efficient sample flow
and rapid turnaround for any type of analysis.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
CLIENT ANALYTICAL SERVICES PROVIDED
Northrop Analytical services were performed on both water and soil samples for a variety of tests at aremediation site. Analyses included Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Volatile FuelHydrocarbons (VFH), Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) and TTLC Cam Metals.
LAUSD Assisted consulting firms and provided analytical services for both water and soil samples atvarious school sites. Samples were analyzed for VOC, VFH/BTEX, SVOC, Metals, andvarious inorganic tests.
POLB Performed Carbon Chain analysis to determine hydrocarbon identification at a bio-remediation site in Signal Hill. Using EPA 8015m for diesel, conducted carbon chain C7-C30.
Unocal Provided analytical services for various consulting firms for underground storage tankinvestigations. Analytical services included VFH/BTEX, Total Recoverable Hydrocarbons,Extractable Fuel Hydrocarbons, VOC, total and organic lead.
ITT Cannon Provided quarterly analysis of groundwater monitoring wells for VOC and SVOC (SemiVolatile Organic Compounds).

Performed analytical services on stack samples and impinger solutions for determination ofmetals emissions in exhaust gases from a stationary source combustion process.
Naval Shipyard Provided analytical support on a wide range of parameters until site closure. Analyticalservices included SVOC, VOC, PCB’s, Cam Metals and General Minerals for soil, water, andair samples.

Mark NooraniLaboratory Director
Mr. Noorani is an environmental chemist with over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry,including over 20 years experience as a bench chemist. As Laboratory Director, Mr. Noorani is directlyresponsible for all laboratory operations and business development.
Mr. Noorani has been involved in method development for Mass Spectroscopy products (i.e. HighResolution, Isotope ratio, and MS/MS mass spectrometry), Gas Chromatography using a variety ofdetectors such as PID, FID, NPD, PFPD, FPD, ELCD, ECD, and TCD; High Pressure LiquidChromatography (HPLC) both UV and Fluorescent; Ion Chromatography, and Wet Chemistry. He alsohas extensive experience in air analysis (i.e. NIOSH methodologies and stationary source combustionsamples.)
Mr. Noorani has an excellent knowledge of quality assurance and quality control (QA\ QC)requirements common to environmental laboratories. His expertise includes statistical data evaluation,calculation of control limits, audit of raw data, and coordination of QA \ QC requirements. With thisworking knowledge, Mr. Noorani is able to provide technical assistance to all laboratory personnel andprovide competent and beneficial information during client consultation.
Mr. Noorani completed his chemistry degree at California State University at Fullerton. He is an activemember of several professional associations including the American Chemical Society, SouthernCalifornia Environmental Chemists Society and American Water Works. Chris TisseratQA/QC Director
Mr. Tisserat has nearly 15 years of experience in environmental related chemistry as both a benchchemist and QA/QC director. He is responsible for monitoring the quality of the laboratory’s work andtaking appropriate actions to ensure that quality standards are being met.
Mr. Tisserat is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)coordination, implementation and evaluations. He is also responsible for the development of projectspecific QA plans. He has extensive experience with a variety of analytical techniques including GasChromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Atomic Absorption (Flame)and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). As a bench chemist, he has performed analysis on drinkingwater, wastewater, soil, sludge, hazardous waste, and vapor samples utilizing the above equipment. Mr.Tisserat has also analyzed these matrices in mobile laboratories and is familiar with immediate responsesituations.
Mr. Tisserat reviews all data produced at Orange Coast Analytical for compliance with the EPArequirements and assessment of accuracy, precision, and completeness. As a QA/QC Director, he auditsdata packages prepared by the analysts, and all the laboratory procedures. Furthermore, Mr. Tisseratissues summaries of proficiency results, audit results and status of QA objectives and other QAinformation as needed for the laboratory director and the laboratory managers.
