Academics Springboard students will increase their skilland academic performance in reading, writing,
and mathematical problem solving through
guided homework instruction and immediate
feedback so that content is more thoroughly
and completely understood and so they are bet-
ter prepared to compete in the global economy
of the 21st century.
Springboard Academics
Springboard Academics allows children to do
homework and study skills with a certified teach-
er in a classroom setting. This allows students
to receive immediate feedback on their work. It
allows children and teachers to identify weak ar-
eas and allows the Springboard teachers to pro-
vide skill building supplements. It also allows
for all of our children, regardless of whether they
were sent home with or without homework, to
spend a focused hour on fostering their education.
Springboard Academics is built to get your child
up to speed academically and to find methods and
routines that work for him or her.
Springboard Academics offers:
Homework support and Parent check-ins
Skill building material
Certified teachers and skill building material
Organizational guidance
Homework review before end of day
A second academic block if required
Communication between Springboard teacher,
parent, school day teachers and administrators.
Springboard Intensive
Springboard Intensive is the low ratio tutoring al-
ternative to get your student back on track.
Students in grades 4 through 8 are especially sus-
ceptible to the cumulative effect. This occurs
when students develop gaps in their background
knowledge due to concepts not adequately learned
Springboard Intensive looks back all the way to
Grade 1, if necessary, to find all the concepts your
child missed or did not understand in Math and Eng-
lish. We then develop lesson plans designed around
your childs learning styles and rebuild those areas
to grade proficiency. Springboard Intensive pro-
vides students with the small group academic sup-
port that they need to catch up to their peers.
Springboard Intensive offers:
Intensive academic support
3:1 ratio
Subject specific assessment and educators
Frequent parent reports
Organizational Guidance
Communication between Springboard teacher, par-
ent, child and school day teachers and administra-
tors.

Activities Springboard Activities are an important partof our balanced approach to after school pro-
gramming. The goal of Springboard Activi-
ties is to put back into schools some of those
essential activities that schools have had tosacrifice in the wake of budget cuts and in
the face of accountability initiatives on the
federal level. Using Springboards philoso-
phy of hiring credentialed professionals that
are recognized for their expertise in their
field, we have sought to provide children
with an experience that is as good if not bet-
ter than what they can get outside in their
communities.
