Now we need to organize and categorize
WIKIS - Powerful information tools - easy creation and editing of any number of interlinked Web pages. often used to create collaborative websites, to power community websites, and for note taking.
COLLAB DOCS - Documents that can built collaboratively, eliminates the need to pass around documents can include word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc.
VIDEO – Various sites provide branded channels where you can post your video, all views regardless of where are aggregated. Helps get data about the campaign. Easily embeddable elsewhere
LIVECASTING – Similar to Youtube and other video sites but they provide a live feed of events and capture the live backchannel
PHOTOS – Various site provide the ability to share tag and create sets. Can be used for events with the creation of group with or tags (pools). Others such as smugmug provide a photo sales mechanism for rapid turnaround
BLOGS – Great mechanism to create and share stories, events and information. Now the blog platform is being adopted by many news site
MICROBLOGS – This is the in between blog post info, great to track buzz (search or trends) around you also can be a great engagement mechanism follow @comcastcares or @fiuconnection Also visit search.twitter.com
LIFESTREAM – Aggregate info from all social sites, including video, photo, microblogs, blog, etc. Create a searchable index
CUSTOMER SERVICE – These services offer open customer service and feedback mechanism. They can be viewed by all and include mechanisms to show action take. Similar to WWW.MYSTARBUCKSIDEA.COM/
PRESENTATIONS – Create the ability to share and aggregate presentations with similar functionality to video or photo sharing sites
EVENTS – Ability to add organize, tag events you can list attendees. They tend to be marked up in open formats (Microformats –hcal)
MAPPING – Shareable, linkable maps that can contain data point and pull in geotagged information from across the web. Many sites have leverages these site to create mashups
ALERTS – Great tool for tracking buzz and the perfect price FREE, I know lots of people use news clipping type services that cost thousands of dollars. This is a bit more work but it can do lots. Look to partner this with Google reader and it can be about similar to news service setup.

FEEDS / RSS – Another great mechanism to aggregate data, it is in the background as plumbing many people use feed readers or start pages to access this data. Simple yet powerful
