Overview of SMART amp
SMART amp is innovative software that enables cloud
based collaborative learning in real time.
Students and teachers can contribute, co-operate and
collaborate in a shared virtual workspace.
It seamlessly brings teachers, students, individual
devices and digital content together to develop higher
order thinking skills and allow real-time assessments.

Background
Welcome and the purpose of this documentThis document provides guidance for educational establishments to enable themto obtain an overview of the potential of SMART amp and provide a frameworkfor its adoption within their organisation and subsequent staff training.
Target AudienceInitially the member of staff responsible for developing whole school approachesto teaching and learning and devising the appropriate change managementstrategies.
Subsequently the modular framework can be used to structure the training of
individual staff. Id has been devised to make it easily accessible for staff who areless confident with the use of technology.

Making Preparations
Preparing Staff, Students and Parents. (plus Governors in theUK)As with any web based educational software that can be accessed beyond school it is goodpractice to brief all of the stakeholders in the school.
StaffHold a staff meeting to demonstrate the software and discuss the educational benefitsof it and the training proposals (New Staff AUP and update to school advice on copyright)
GovernorsAt a governors meeting demonstrate the software and share the educationalbenefits and discuss the preparation, training and briefings prior to use.
ParentsHold a parental briefing session to inform parents if the use of the software inschool and at home. Share the student AUP and offer guidance on safe use.
StudentsDemonstrate the software. Set guidelines for use (in and out of school) and getstudents to sign an updated AUP.
