MONTBLANC Montblanc is in “la Conca de Barberà” It has about 7.000 habitants. It is a little village.

SANTA MAGDALENASANTA MAGDALENA The old hospital of

Santa Magdalena is a gothic building built in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries on the town of Montblanc.

In the inner of Santa Magdalena there is a well.

EL PLA DE SANTA BÀRBARA

“El pla de Santa Bàrbara” is a hill that is next to the church “Santa Maria”.

There was an important Iberian populated.

There is a very beautiful lookout point.

Santa Maria is a gothic church of the fourteenth century.

It’s very big. Is the biggest church on Montblanc.

EL PONT VELL The work of the

“pont vell” visible today belong to the twelfth century.

Formerly the others sides of the bridge were two arches, one with the shield of the town and the other with the figure of an angel

“Les muralles” City walls are the most important monument in Montblanc.

They are made of rocks and other materials.

 

L’ORGUE The orgue of

montblanc is one of the oldest in Catalonia.

It is very very big and it has got a lot of tubes.

 

The most popular festival in Montblanc is The Medieval week.

During Saint George the boys give a rose to the girls and the girls give a book to the boys.
