David Ritland Global Customer Opera6ons Siemens
Guest Speaker
“3D Prin6ng”
David graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Mechanical in the mid 90’s. After graduation he joined Westinghouse as part of the Engineering/Manufacturing Professional Development Program, where he worked at the Orlando and Charlotte sites, taking a permanent position in Charlotte with Steam Turbine engineering. It was there at the Turbine Plant Dave got an appreciation for the challenges in design as it relates to manufacturability. David left Siemens Westinghouse a few years after the merger to pursue other interests and career paths. In 2004 David came back to engineering during a short stint as a drafting contractor for Siemens. In 2005 he joined Siemens again full time as an engineer in the GT Combustion group, where once again the confluence of design requirements and manufacturability were key topics he would deal with. In 2014, he left the Combustion group to manage the GT auxiliaries system design team. Currently he continues to look after Fluid system auxiliaries in the new merged Global Customer Operations group (formerly Systems Integration).
