Lane Keeping Assist = Uses camera to monitor cars position in lane

Driver Monitoring Systems Monitor the driver to ensure that they are engaged in the driving experience and focused on the road. Keep driver fatigue in check.

Phase 2 – Initial Emergency Conditions Sensed, No Autonomous Action
Brake Assist Plus Notifies driver that an emergency stop required. (2.6
seconds prior to estimated impact).
Lane Keeping Assist Notifies driver they are drifting from lane.
Phase 3 – Intervention Action Necessary, Some Autonomous Action
Brake Assist Plus Initiates partial braking at 40% (1.6 seconds prior to
estimated impact). If driver engages brakes full force is
automatically applied.
Lane Keeping Assist Uses steering or selective braking as corrective action,
automobile returned to lane.
