We often take for granted the very
things that most deserve our gratitude.~Cynthia Ozick

been much that has been going on; with the semester of SDSU nearing the end there seems to be a plethora of servicerojects that we have been given the opportunity toarticipate in.

helped out in the La Jolla half marathon, where many San Diegancame out to endure the freezingtemperatures and run about thirtmiles!!! (in other words they alswere able to eat anything they
wanted that day). It is one of

They were not alone with about 7,200other runners. As the participants wererunning, our other Circle K members wereholding distance markers and handing outwater. Towards the end, the 12th miledistance marker tends to be a beacon of hope as Ari Chessen (2009-2010 SDSU circle K President) says, “I was hugged by many sweaty, happy people.”

said, 'This is nothing compared to DCI cant wait till DCON, if it's anythinglike this with all the sprit, and knowledge, I am more than excited toattend.” SDSU's Circle K attendance

End of the Year BanquetEnd of the Year Banquetay 7th 2011, SDSU circle K had the End of e Year Banquet. Where we gave ourpreciation to our previous E-board, and eard from our former president and nowTG (Lieutenant Governor). As our previous oard members were officially retired,
peeches and appreciation for what they haveone, could not be any more valued. They ade the club what it is today, and broughtback to life as the SDSU Circle K that itas once known for. Here is what Scottame our Current President had to say,
Thank you to everyone who showed theirupport for our banquet. This has been a antastic year filled with amazingiendships. It is thanks to everyone whoame to be a part of SDSU Circle K thatade this year all that it was. Theeginning of the year started off with nly a board, but that board cared. Itas their efforts that formed this club to the organization it is, making a group
f friends who were there to make a fference. Seeing the support of embers, schools, friends; I was proud o see what I was a part of. I can’txpress enough how much it means, fter caring so deeply and working soard, to see what was achieved. To seeiends around you, people who came
ogether for a cause, and became close. We come for the service, but stay forhe people. The show of support and atitude given to us as a board was stounding. The board came together notnowing anything, but we struggled toarn and make this club a place foreryone. Service is universal and it
oesn’t matter your physical fitness orociability, it’s that desire to extend your
hand to someone in need that brings us togeFor me personally, going into my new term a
president, I want to say thank you. Thank yfor working so hard. Thank you for waking u
so early. Thank you for being a friend. Thankfor caring.”
