Must start within 10 days of appeal being lodged. Managed by:
If dissatisfied with internal Appeals Process student can access external Appeals Processes (e.g. State and Federal Ombudsman).
School/College Academic Integrity O�icer (AIO) for course work students.
Dean of Graduate Studies (DGS) for research higher degree candidates.
Students have 10 working days from DL send date to submit written response.
They can consult with AIO/DGS.
Can take support person to anyhearing (e.g. Student Advocate).
Head of School/College Director for course work students.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Research for research higher degree candidates.
AIO/DGS determines whether AM has possibly occurred and sends Determination Letter (DL) to student advising allegation either dismissed or warrantsinvestigation.
AIO/DGS investigates and reviews evidence using the Misconduct Guidelines.
AIO/DGS sends DL to student advising allegation has either been dismissed or upheld and penalty/order imposed.
Student has up to 20 working days from the date DL was sent to appeal.
