Artist Statement
Music is the language of the soul. Through music, we can recreate our feelings and thoughts of the world. Life is like the strings of a piano, it needs to be touched by the fire of our heart.
The fountain of sound is the harmony of the soul. Each moment of my life is a discovery and an infinite possibility for expressing my emotions as an interpreter or as an accom-panist.
My audiences may tune in with my inner world, deriving a great pleasure by listening to my interpretation of beautiful music from around the world, independent of their lan-guage, culture, beliefs and life style.
I love giving expression to Latin-American music. By sharing our music in recital halls, educational, and diplomatic venues, we may create a spirit of confraternity and social connection in one verse, the art of music which elevates our soul.
Sandra Granobles was born in Colombia; she holds a Bachelor degree of Music Education from the University of Valle, Colombia. She has worked in pri-vate schools, universities and private studios in Colombia as a music and piano teacher.
In addition to her teaching and coach-ing experience, she has accompa-nied several recognized cantors in Colombia, and renowned singers in festivals. She has also performed as pianist accompa-nist at the University Libre, University of Valle and Municipal Theater from 2001 to 2008.

“The piano accompanist is so often undervalued, most certainly underpaid, and often treated with disdain by the very soloist whose performance can be made or broken by the quality and sympathy of the accompanist. It is a special type of performing, one that depends on a pianist’s ability to think as two people at once. The accompanist must, in addition to making meaningful music of the piano part, know the musical mind of the soloist.”
