General Problems
Axis Title
Technical evidence leads us to conclude that problems faced by majority of students with the transport system are:
1. Timings of bus,
2. Uncomfortable atmosphere,
3. Unkind behavior of drivers with females,
4. No bus pass or checking of university id card for security,
5. Bus routes, improper/fast driving and bad transport management.
Þ Females also suffer from long wait due to late arrival of bus and negligence behavior of transport management towards students’ complaints about:
Þ Driver’s over speeding,Þ Non co-operation, Þ Long routes and Þ Suffocated atmosphere due to overloading in bus.
These problems are degrading confidence level ofstudents to travel in bus, giving confidence to untraineddrivers ultimately affecting reputation of IIUI.
Some recommendations that can bring positive changes in the transport system of university are:
Appoint highly trained drivers for driving a bus.
Design bus pass for every female who travels in bus, also enrolled in the university. It will discourage outsiders to travel in bus.
Bus routes should not be too long which makes females uncomfortable and late in reaching home
Increase number of buses
Management should take strict action on complaint reported by any female student.
Drivers should co-operate on telling bus routes.
Drivers should not over speed while driving to avoid any accident.
Organize one day in a month for evaluation of drivers
Implement restrictions on allowing more than 60 girls on one bus.
If these recommendations are taken seriously and followed strictly then there is
ninety percent probability that Transport System of IIUI will be improved and
problems of students with their drivers will decrease sharply.
