Slurry Wall at train station OerlikonSwitzerland

Häny HCM 800 mixing plant with storage silos Slurry Wall

The construction company Implenia was awarded by “SBB Immobilien” to build the 80 m tall “Andreasturm” at the train station Zurich-Oerlikon. The “Andreasturm” will have approx. 20'000 m2 of office space as well as additional space for retail stores and restaurants. As part of the foundation work a slurry wall is being built and the necessary bentonite slurry is being prepared with the help of an au-tomated Häny mixer of the type HCM 800.

One silo is mounted on top of the mixing tank and the bentonite is fed through a rotary feeder into the Häny unit. A 3 - 4 % bentonite mix is prepared with the mixer. From the mixer the bentonite is transferred into the 4 storage silos installed right next to the mixing plant.
