Abstract
Reference Management system offers an easy
way of collecting references from online
databases, organizing them in a database, and
citing them in documents in Microsoft Word.
Documents can be shared with colleagues/publish
online. A reference management system can
facilitate the keeping track of the literature.

• EndNote is an almost indispensible tool

Why use EndNote?
• EndNote allows you to create your own reference library.
This library can be used to store the bibliographical details
relating to the articles and books that you use. When it
comes time to write your thesis, you can employ the
library to insert references into your text and produce your
bibliography. EndNote will save you hundreds of hours
over the course of your research.

Add full text to references
• In ””References”> ”Find full text” you can make EndNote
import full text articles, which will be attached to your
references.

Import PDF-files
• Choose ”File”> ”Import” and ”Folder” or ”File”. Import
option must be PDF

Duplicate References
• Check your library for duplicates, do it before you use it in
Word, an avoid duplicates in your Word document. Mark
all references and Choose ”References”>”Find
Duplicates”. You can either choose manually ”Keep this
Record” or click on ”Cancel” and delete the duplicates in
”Duplicate References” automatically.

EndNote Web
• Using EndNote references from another computer, or
share your references, you might use EndNote Web.
Create an Web account by filling in everything in the
registration form in “Edit”> “Preferences” and “Sync”.
