RADA Mission Statement
To be the leading Automobile Dealers' Association in
America by providing information, products, services, and
representation that results in the members’ improved
financial success.
Our Story The Rochester Automobile Dealers' Association can trace its roots back to 1908 when a few area
pioneer automobile dealers organized the first automobile show. From the beginning, the auto
show was such a huge success that its organizers decided to incorporate under the name of the
Rochester Automobile Dealers' Association, Inc. in 1920.
As new car sales flourished, dealers needed to take used cars in trade and market them to second
owners. The R.A.D.A. soon became a facilitator for the fair exchange of used vehicles among
first owners, auto dealers, and second owners. The continued pursuit of fair business practices
led the R.A.D.A. to expand services to both member dealers a The R.A.D.A. now offers
member dealers and their customers many finance and insurance programs to meet their needs;
and aftermarket and accessory packages to protect the customer's investment. Additionally,
R.A.D.A. dealer members have the opportunity to take advantage of special group purchasing
rates, special events, motor vehicle services, human resources, regulatory education programs,
legislative monitoring, as well as a supreme public relations, media and communications
network. In an effort to give back to the community it serves, the R.A.D.A. has developed the
R.A.D.A. Charitable Foundation to benefit the children of the region.
For over 80 years, the R.A.D.A. has been committed to maintaining the economic vitality of the
community by keeping its members profitable, professional and public spirited through good
times and bad.

R.A.D.A. Charitable Foundation Since our early days as a trade association, the R.A.D.A. has enjoyed the support of the people in
the communities we serve. The goodwill extended to us over the years inspires us to "give
something back" through our Charitable Foundation.
The R.A.D.A. Charitable Foundation focuses its efforts on children's organizations that are not
supported by large national entities, preferring small organizations that thrive on their own
efforts in fundraising. Since its inception in July 1985, the Foundation has granted over $350,000
to local children's organizations.
Recently, the Foundation chose to combine its efforts with the Rochester Rotary to benefit the
Sunshine Campus for children with disabilities. The collaboration of these two organizations has
resulted in substantial increases in fundraising and giving power. The children the R.A.D.A. has
touched will never be known, and the R.A.D.A. supports the prospect of creating opportunities
for those who are in need.
