• Served as Lead Process Engineer on a project to modify topsides for subsea tieback.

• Conducted siting studies for onshore storage facilities and terminal.

• Served as Lead Process Engineer for SEMS Relief Design Basis compliance project for numerous offshore platforms.

• Served as Lead Process Engineer for Flare Minimization Study at LA refinery.

• Facilitated numerous PHAs, both HAZOP and What-if Checklist, with PHA Pro and PHA Works software, for onshore and offshore brownfield oil and gas projects.

• Performed SIL verification calculations for refinery and offshore facilities’ Safety Instrumented Functions with SIL Solver software.

• Performed various process design calculations for oil and gas projects including heat exchanger modeling, H2S disposal optioneering, line sizing, pump specification, flare gas minimization, and relief header analysis.

• Conducted Hazard Analyses for numerous offshore platforms as part of client SEMS compliance program using API RP 14J simple and detailed checklists, per 30CFR 250.1911.

Safety and Risk Process Engineer, Sigma Engineers and Constructors, Metairie, LA: 2009 -2011

• Performed siting study for biofuels plant to meet API RP 752 and 753 guidelines, including estimation of blast wave distances and magnitudes.

• Served as Lead Process Engineer on plant-wide relief verification study, for chemical plant. This effort included scenario evaluation, fire-proofing allowances, reaction gas evolution calculations, and the associated documentation.

• Managed updates to SIS Database, including evaluation of criticality, via site Management of Change action items.

• Conducted numerous risk assessments on existing Safety Instrumented Functions to determine target Safety Integrity Level (SIL). Created event trees to semi-quantitatively calculate probability of hazardous events. Assisted in development of capital project design to modify existing SIS to meet SIL target.

Safety and Risk Process Engineer, HFG Engineering, Metairie, LA: 2005-2009

• Conducted Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) for wellhead platform modification projects. Calculated failure rates for designed Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).

• Performed relief header and drain header system analyses.

• Facilitated HAZOPs for capital project changes to existing chemical facility operating units.

• Served as Lead Process Engineer on PSV Study to validate relief devices throughout entire chemical plant. Sized relief devices, including PSVs, PV Vents, EOVs, and atmospheric free vents. Developed mitigation plans to correct inadequate relief devices for existing major chemical plant.
