State/Federal Partnership
Most data and estimates produced within LMI offices are done so through cooperative agreement with the BLS.

State/Federal Partnership
The Projections program is unique among the LMI estimation programs in that it is run via a partnership between the States, the Employment and Training Administration and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, not under the governance of the BLS Cooperative Agreement.

Projections Managing Partnership:

o Guidance and oversight of investment of the limited funds available to support the nationwide projections infrastructure.

o Membership is open to all state LMI offices/analysts.

Labor Market Information Improvement Grant – Projections Infrastructure Modernization
The Projections Consortium completed work last fall on an LMI Improvement Grant awarded by the Employment and Training Administration.

Projections Infrastructure Modernization:o Reprogrammed existing Projections Suite
modules in .net from outdated FireFox (a.k.a. FoxPro).
o Incorporated previously planned modules.
o Captured SME knowledge and provide 24/7/365 access through e-learning.
o Incorporated Projections training delivery into LMI Institute mission for sustainability.
