PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Hello everyone, Can you believe we have seen another fortnight rushing by! Things have been happening for our end of year concert and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the end product. Music and lyrics are starting to be memorised and rehearsals are underway in earnest. School photos went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful sunny day and all children posed perfectly for their particular photos and group sets. These should be delivered soon. Many thanks to Christine Walter for putting together our 2018 Year Book and Graduation Book for this year. If previous efforts are anything to go by, I’m sure the final product will be fantastic. Thanks must also go out to the P&C for their kind delivery of lunch on Tuesday as they celebrated the running of the Melbourne Cup. It was very much appreciated by staff and the food was delicious! Just letting you know that PAT testing will be happening soon. It is a good opportunity to provide another measuring stick for the progress of students when staff are writing the upcoming reports for parents at the end of the year. It is the third year we have been doing the tests online and it also provides good practice for students when NAPLAN moves to online testing next year. I also want to give a shout out to Susie Watt who has been doing a fabulous job as the Principal on my leave days this term! Good to know the school is in such good hands. See you soon! Debbie

MELBOURNE CUP AT CASCADE Tuesday saw 60 ladies attend a Melbourne Cup Lunch at the Cascade Hall hosted by the Cascade P&C. The lunch was absolutely delicious with an array of salads and desserts enjoyed by all. A few lucky punters won some money on their horses in the big race. The red carpet was busy with the children modelling their hats they had made and then ten ladies proudly displayed their outfits and headpieces. It was a fun day and the P&C raised some funds to put towards equipment for the senior playground. Thanks to all of the P&C members that assisted with the running of this day.
