New Book for Medical Directors Also jus t r e l eased is Bar Code Technology in Health Care: A Tool for Enhancing Quality, Productivity and Cost Management, a book writ- ten to aid medical directors in effec- tively managing health care now and in the future. "Besides being speedier and more accurate than manual systems, bar coding is a rel- atively affordable technology," ex- plains co-author Karen Longe.
