Position of the different band member allow for the users to see each band member clearly and allows for the target audience to be able to recognise the band
members and the band and there products for example my ancillary task like a digipacks and a website.
The lighting was perfect for the shoot as it allowed for every band member to be seen clearly and any feature about them be seen
for example there hair cut. This could create a fashion tend as if the band
became very popular then things like there haircut could become a popular trend.
All unnecessary items have been removed for example the poster on the poster board and people walking and looking thought the
door so that it did not distract the viewer and audience
I set up the recording room in a normal
convention of a normal band, for
example the drum kit at
the back, the bass guitarist next then the guitarist and lead vocals at
the front. They are ranked in order of
importance as a drum can
not be classed as
music by its self but a
solo. Where a guitarist and Bassist on
there own can be classed as
music as there are
several songs where there
has only been a guitar or a
bass.
The way the room has been set up is so that it is clear to the user that these are the only instruments in the band and these are the
artist who plays the instruments. The reason why this is a key element is because some bands have other artists who are not in the band but still play for them. And I want the target audience to know that there are now
other band members.
At this angle it allows for the viewer to see all the member and there instruments, It also look very
convincing that the band are actually playing the instruments and playing
the song. I fond the best way to achieve this was to actually play the
instruments
The angle allows for the viewer to be able to see all around the room and what is in the room. It also allows for
the viewer to familiarise them self with this room as there will be many
different shots in this room

The gentle spot light lighting allows for the lighting in the room not to be too harsh and make things look shinny and polished. it also creates a divide
between the recording studio and recording room.
The angle of the camera allows for the the viewer to see at least three
quarters of the recording studio and
again familiarise them self with this
room. As this again is a place where most of the shots
will be taking place. This poster board is an area where
posters can be put up. And on this board there is a
poster that includes some
information about the some
equipment in the recording studio. This means that it
make the recording studio look professional as it make it look
like a place of learning and a
place that is used on a regular basis.
From this angle the viewer can see the band members and the recording studio producer who is played by steve. The reason why I am not in this photo is because I am the one taking it. The angle also allows you to see what the band members are wearing and see there faces and identity, This can be used later on as a brand identity as fans
and target audience will recognise them and there products.
From this angle of the recording studio you are able to see some of the equipment that make the recording studio for example mixing boards, MIDI controllers and key boards. This makes the
recording studio look professional and used. The effect of this on the video and photos is that it will make the video look very professional and makes it look like the band are actually recording the video and recording the song, as during the video the members play with the computer and
controls.

The way the lighting is in this room it allows for there to be a shadow of all three of us when we are jumping, the effect of this is that it will be good if I chose to an editing filter as some filters can make the photos look very cool and very professional. This was a very hard shot to
create and took us many time and attempts to do because on most of them at least one of us was not jumping etc
The way the picture is framed allows for every band member to be seen and allows the target audience and fans to look at them,. The out come of this is that it allows for the target audience and fans to look at the band and look at what they are wearing and what they look like and
if they see product like there cloths for example chinos then they will more then likely think of the band and songs. Once this has been complete the more likely the fan is going to listen to there music, look them up, subscribe or download there music. Regarding the band cloths
and style some fans may copy there style and there look because they like the band so much, this could then remind other fans about the band which would then create a band identity.
The lighting in the room means that they band member are clearly lit and are clear to see, the only downside to this photo is that the
photo is slightly blurry which slightly hinders the clearness of the
photo. The reason why this blurriness has been created is down to the
movement in the photo. As we all jumped
up and down the camera would of been unable to focus on us and the area which
caused the photo to not be focused and make it
blurry.
There is one last downside to this photo. If I was going to use it in any of my coursework for example in my ancillary
tasks which are a Digipack and
a website I would have to use photoshop to edit out the
three plug sockets that are in the photo. It
was an unavoidable
problem because If the camera had
been any more zoomed or
moved closer some of the
picture would of been cut of,
and this would ruin the overall
look of the photo and
would render it useless
Image number 4
The lighting allows the user to clearly see the band members and clearly see what they look like, what they are wearing and any outstanding feature that they may have for example there teeth and hair styles, and
this again links to brand identity and brand image. The angle that the photo has taken also
allows for there to be a clear image of the band
as a group and again allows the fans and
target audience to get a clear look at the band
members and get a clear look at what look like, what they wear and any outstanding features. The high angle shot would
normally make the people in the photo look small and make them look powerless,
But in my photo it goes against that normal
convention of the shot as the people in the
shot look very powerful and very angry. It also make the camera look like the small people and everyone looking
at it small
The photo is very simple but has a very powerful feel to it as firstly there is hardly any props in the video only the jewellery that jake
( the lead singer and guitarist ) is wearing. Perhaps if someone else had taken this photo they may of had guitars over there shoulders to
make it look more violent and make it look more intimidating.
Mise en Scene is a massive part of
this photo for several reasons
firstly the costume as this is
what the band members are wearing in the
video and secondly this
could be a key element in there
future as they could create a
new fashion trend and is something they they could make money on in the future. The
second reason why mise en scene is so
important in this photo is down to
facial expressions, as
you can see from the facial
expressions they people do not
mess around and are really serious, it also make you
think of the genre of punk rock and
enforces the genre of music
The third and last reason why mise en scene is so important is because of position within a frame, Position in a frame is a very
important aspect as if you get it wrong it could mess up the whole message and meaning behind the photo and video. So the way
that I have positioned the people in the fame is to show that they are the main article and that they are the focus of the band and
are the band members.

The shot of extreme close up means that you
you can really see the detail in the item and in this case the wood that
makes up the fret board on the guitar. The extreme close up means that you can really see the detail of
the wood as you can see several things. Firstly you can see the grain
of the wood that goes horizontal. And secondly you can see the area that
have light and dark wood. My idea for this photos and two other like it is to use them on the inside cover of my
digipack. Each photo will be put on a different section and will look like a
guitar.
This extreme close up also allows you to see the pearl inlay’s in great
detail as again you can see the grain of the pearl and see the variations in each circle. The pearl also changes in different light and makes each
pearl section look different.
Another effect that this extreme close up has is that again in detail the viewer can see the metal fret dividers that split the different frets up. The close up show a very shiny and reflective surface and shows a variation in the metal and this is me taking the picture. Hopefully the effect these three picture will have is that as you stretch out the Digipack you will
uncover more of the guitar and hopefully it will look like a guitar body and neck. Another think that I would like this design to achieve is that the guitar frets will start to increase in size the further you open the digipack
