@ Selbey Park, Redcliffe
At a new Runsite, we started just after the rain finished in the Working Class ‘burb of Redcliffe not too far from the workman’s Redcliffe Tavern. Hare Poley was there to give us instruction but his mate BF hadn’t showed up. (Later he offered excuse: “Caught behind major traffic accident”). Early false trails on the two footbridges across the Tonkin Hwy soon had us realizing it was to be a Righty, so over Gt.Eastern Hwy to river, thence toward Garfield Park, the swamp,
drink-stop at Redcliffe Tavern (12 made it), and On Home. Given the amount of rain that afternoon, trail markings were well preserved. An almost disaster with the food cooking in the subway plus the doughnut eating competition to portray
Americans as we see them proved highly entertaining. Enjoy these selected photos of the evening.
