Worked in our family-owned, small-scale company that manufactured a patented leveling instrument - ‘Contour
Marker.’ In 1992, invented my first gadget - Electronic Contour Marker, an instrument employed to mark contours
and levels on-site. Managed the production and sales of 200 instruments per year with an annual turnover of US$
7,000. Maintained utmost quality of product by carefully handcrafting each instrument. Trained several hundred
persons (government forest, soil-conservation, and agriculture officers, NGO personnel, school and college
students) from all over India in using the instrument and propagated the use of Continuous Contour Trenching
(CCT) technique for soil and water conservation projects.

6. CONAPPS (2014) – (ideation stage) Smart phone App for high performance concrete; minimizing human bias
in QA/QC testing of fresh concretes. Relieving skilled technicians in getting an unbiased, rapid, reliable and
accurate measure of quality and performance level of fresh normal and high performance concretes.
7. CONCHIP (2014) – (ideation stage) Micro version of Carbon Nanoparticles ‘Smart Aggregate’ i.e. Micro
Smart Aggregate, embedded with electronic microprocessor chip and wireless data monitoring, to be installed

8. Prefabricated Ferrocrete & Mesh Ties (2013-14) – Prefabricated Ferrocrete Ties for short RCC columns are
cost effective and structurally efficient than conventional rebar ties. Prefabricated Mesh Ties for RCC Columns
may potentially be structurally better than conventional rebar ties considering confinement and ductility.
9. Adjustable J-Ring Test (2014-16) – Universal improved passing ability tester for Self Consolidating Concretes
with varying size and amounts of coarse aggregates and fibers.

15. Smart Contour Marker (2014) – (proposed) A high-tech electronic leveling instrument, simple to use and will
not require a technically skilled operator. It will have a smart microprocessor and ZigBee based system run on
renewable energy to sense, calculate, display, store and wirelessly transmit water level data.
16. Multifunctional Bio-admixture (2016-19) – A multifunctional bacterial chemical admixture for concrete to be
used as a VMA/Self-healing agent/Pre-treatment to recycled concrete aggregates/ Improve rebar bond and
corrosion resistance, etc.
