The alleged assault occurred after1 a. m. Friday, according to police, who said that Mrs. Shirley Buck-ner, aged 30, of 487 ' Ralph avenue,Brooklyn, telephoned headquartersabout 1:30 a. m. to report an at-tempted rape.

Mrs. Buekner told police that sheentered an automo'bile occupied bytwo young men when the ear stopp-ed at a traffic signal in Oakdale. She said that she was on her wayto Brooklyn , and that she offeredthe youths $10 if they would driveher there. She finally managed to get awayfrom them, she said, and telephonedpolice from a. nearby house. Policesaid that Mrs. Buekner suffered twoblack eyes and other facial injuries.

Found at the scene of the allegedassault was Lucia's wallet, whichpolice said evidently had been ac-cidentally hurled from the car whileMrs. Buckner's effects were beingthrown out after her.

It was learned that Lncia is nowon probation with the Patchoguepolice because of a previous offense.Last March, he was given a sus-pended sentence and placed on pro-bation for six months when he plead-ed guilty to a charge of third de-gree assault.
