Pedego was founded in 2008 by Don DiCostanzo and Terry Sherry, two long-time business partners and lifelong friends who were best men in each other’s weddings.
Don lived on top of a giant hill that took all the fun out of riding to the beach, so he went online and bought an electric bike. He loved it so much that he bought another, and another, and another… Before long, he wound up with seven different electric bikes in his garage!
His friends loved them too, and some of them wanted their own, so he opened up a shop in Newport Beach that quickly became the largest electric bicycle retailer in the US.
Soon, Don found himself frustrated and disappointed with the poor quality and boring style of all the electric bikes on the market. He dreamt of creating his own brand of electric bikes that would live up to his high standards and appeal to more people. But he knew he couldn’t do it alone, and that’s where Terry comes in.

The most important part of every Pedego isn’t some high -tech gadget or fancy bicycle
component – it’s the person riding it. Everything we do is focused on the actual
experience of buying and owning a Pedego and all the joy it can bring into your life.
Our motto is hello, fun... Pedegos are the very best electric bikes on earth because they’re the most fun to ride. That’s why Pedego owners don’t like their bikes –
they love ‘em.
If a Pedego owner is merely satisfied, then we’ve let them down. Satisfied isn’t good enough for us! It’s our policy to do
whatever it takes to make sure that every single Pedego customer is delighted with
their bike and overall experience.
We love our work because all we sell is fun! Every hour of every day, somewhere on earth, someone is falling in love with a Pedego and rediscovering the simple joy of riding a bicycle. That feels pretty good.
Terry has warm childhood memories of fixing up old bikes with his dad. He remembers going to swap meets to search for broken down, neglected bikes to bring back to life. He learned to strip them down to the bare frame and completely rebuild them from scratch to be as good as new.
Between Don’s innovative vision and Terry’s technical expertise, Pedego Electric Bikes was born. The colorful, fun bikes were instant crowd pleasers, and Pedego’s world class customer service earned them a special place in the hearts of customers everywhere. Today, Pedego is the market leader and the number one brand of electric bikes in America. They are constantly adding more stores, more products, and most importantly, more delighted customers!

We love our customers, and they love us. You might say we’re “going steady.”
When you ride a Pedego, it’s not about how great the bike is. It’s about how awesome you yourself are. The Pedego brings out the best in you.
We’ve been touched and inspired by the stories we’ve
heard about how owning a Pedego has transformed people’s lives –
helping them be their best.

Two and a half years, 25 lbs less, and six thousand miles later, I still love every minute on my Pedego Interceptor. Personal favorite memory: The week I spent in the summer of 2015 completing the
annual Iowa RAGBRAI... a seven-day ride across the state, 498 miles from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River. It was a challenge, but
my Pedego made that thrill of a lifetime possible for me. I love my Pedego!
We are avid road cyclists. We would often see the Pedego group rides and insist they were “cheater
bikes”. When we finally tried it for ourselves we couldn’t stop thinking and talking about it. We now own two City Commuters, and we absolutely love these bikes. They are NOT “cheater bikes”! We can feel the burn with
different muscle groups we use versus our other rides. We are proud to be
part of the Pedego family!
My wife and I love our Pedegos and so do our
fur babies (2 French Bulldogs - Cricket and Truman)! Our Pedegos
have opened a whole new world of sightseeing and local activity enjoyment!
Recently a black bear crossed the road right in front of me, and I was very
glad to have the assurance of extra “get away power.”

Owning a Pedego has really brought us closer as a family. We may be all in the
same house, but that doesn’t mean we’re really doing things
together. Now with the Pedegos, we are! Instead of everyone doing
their own thing, we’re all enjoying the same experience and having a
lot of fun together. It puts a smile on everyone’s face – we love it!
Larry gave up driving about 10 years ago due to a degenerative eye disease. Now he gets around on his Pedego City Commuter with his guide dog, Trip, in a trailer behind him. “The thing about the Pedego bike that really changed my life, is that it
moved me from a life of isolation to one where I’m empowered to go anywhere I want to go.”

We are wanderers, 68 and 78 years of age, traveling across Canada and the US in a motorhome. We sold the
Harley (with a small tear) in favor of two Pedegos. Just the answer for RV’ers.
You would be amazed at the amount of groceries and “refreshments”
that we can carry!

My wife and I purchased our Pedegos in 2012, and they are the best thing that has ever happened
to us! We have always been active in backpacking, bike riding, off-road ATV’ing, and the camping
that goes along with it all. We’re both cancer survivors, and after growing a little older and
a little weakened by life’s trials, the Pedego bikes are empowering us to travel and experience the active life we’ve always loved. Here is a picture of our camp in Big Bear, CA – (Yes, we are tent campers!)

Esther rides her Pedego City Commuter to and from work about 18 miles a day. She has enjoyed many benefits from
riding, but she maintains that the best benefit is all the fun she’s having. “I’m loving it,” she says. “ It’s just a better quality of life. I look better, I
feel better and I couldn’t ask for anything more than that.”

Now We’re Your Testimonials
I cannot tell you how many shoe shine men are using a
Pedego, but I know for sure that in Brussels there is only one using a Pedego Stretch
for picking up and delivering shoes. People love this
eco-friendly service!
Pedego electric bikes have truly changed our lives. My wife had a total knee replacement 2 years ago. As a result, we kind of stopped being active. I gained a bunch of weight, and it wasn’t good. Last April, after talking to a friend who had purchased two Pedegos and after reading testimonials on Pedegos, we decided to purchase two bikes. Now we’re your testimonials. We ride almost every weekend since we’ve purchased. In the past year, I have lost 80 pounds and my wife never hesitates to go on an extended ride. Getting out on long rides and seeing sights that we’ve never seen before is something we enjoy doing together with
the help of our Pedegos.
Producing great electric bikesis just the beginning. To be truly great,
a company has to stand for something…

I am 74 yrs old with a bad knee and right foot injured in a motorcycle accident several years ago. These impediments severely limited my ability to get any kind of outdoor exercise. Since I purchased my Pedego, it has allowed me to go out every morning and ride between 6 to
10 miles. This has greatly enhanced my life, allowing me to exercise without any undue stress on my knee and foot, and
on top of that, it’s a hell of a lot fun!
