Welcome to the Spring newsletter. Great number of
players in the club photo this year, of all ages!
Area Schools qualifier saw 6 of our players
achieve Gold medals and 4 bronze medals. Good
luck to those competing in the National schools 2/3
April.
Swimathon thank you to everyone who took part,
there were 24 swimmers! Good fun was had by all,
thank you to all the sponsors and supporters!
We are trying to give people as much notice as pos-
sible for future events! Diary dates on the left! We
would be grateful if people could let us know as far
in advance as possible if they are coming to events;
a great deal of planning and organising goes on be-
hind the scenes.
Competition dates are overleaf, we encourage all
players to take part in competitions. Don’t forget 1/2
price entry in to our own club competitions for mem-
bers!
Does anyone know business who would like to
sponsor our competition medals? The cost would be
about £150.

Grading's and theory sheets
Well done to the “minis” who are
storming through the theory sheets
and putting the rest of the club to
shame! Oliver B (age 6) has complet-
ed the entire set! 6 sheets plus the
competition sheet!
Theory sheets do help with gradings!
Theory sheets can be completed at
any time, they are designed to help
the players learn their English /
Japanese translations which will help
them with their gradings. Players
receive a certificate every time they
complete one. There are 7 in total,
including a competition sheet; the
sheets can be downloaded from the
club website or ask one of the coach-
es for a paper copy.
Over the last few years Luke has been
compiling the history of the club;
which we know started when the youth
club opened over 50 years ago.
He is up to 3 folders at the moment, if
anyone has any press cuttings or pho-
tos that they can copy and let Luke
have it would be much appreciated.
