Having the city of Sesto San Giovanni as reference point, the aim of my thesis project is to impove citizens life through cycling and sustainability. To reach this purpose I designed three street furniture: a bike rack, a modular street waste recycling basket, the restyling of a public bench. In addition it has been studied a sustainability awareness campaign and a way to improve the urban lighting.

MELTEMI is a design radiator mainly realized in Cristalplant®, inspired by Himalayan lamps and equipped with infrared radiator technology. It is integrated with home automation to activate it and adjust the temperature in order to feel the warmth surrounding you after a bath.
Blaker is a blender inspired by the shaker, ideal to prepare cocktails, smoothies, milkshakes and more. Extremely compact, thought for the increasingly reduced space in modern apartments.No buttons, just a motion sensor to activate it.

Winner of the NewDesign 2011 Contest by MIUR, the Hi-tech Island is a covered public workstation equipped with all the necessary: tables, sockets, Wi-Fi, lighting, info screens. Everything is powered by its own solar panels making the Hi-tech Island 100% eco-friendly.

“ Gaia, the streetlamp with a green soul ”
Gaia is an eco friendly and autonomous streetlamp inspired by creeping plants. It is realized in five Hi-macs® thermoformed stripes ending in five leaves shaped reflectors. It is powered by solar panel installed on top of them.
