New Mexico Grow Project Grant: Helping K-12 Students Grow Year-Round!

Grant Includes: Everything You Need to Start Growing Outdoor Growing:

• Complete Raised Bed Garden Kit: o 4’X8’ cedar raised bed (Assembled by Mayfield FFA) o 12 bags- top soil, 12 bags-manure,15 bags-peat moss

• Drip irrigation system with timer, 50 ft. hose • Tools: shovels, rakes, hoes, gloves (Donated by Tractor Supply) • Tool storage cabinet • Classroom seed starter kit with variety of seeds • Hoop house attachment and cover to extend growing season • Tarp to close garden in summer if needed

Indoor Growing: • Complete hydroponic kit:

o 2 large bins with baskets o Light with stand & electric timer o Nutrients, PH testing kit, seeds o 2 bubble stones, aquarium air pump/two valve, hose o Grow medium (Grodan & clay pebbles)

Regional Workshop Trainings That Provide: o Directions: how to set up & use all resources successfully o Lessons connecting resources to classroom curriculum o Networking with local experts/community partners
