Dear Parents,
Last month, NCPS celebrated Racial Harmony Day and students participated in thevarious fun activities planned for them. Teachers and students came to school dressed inbeautiful costumes and shared more about one another’s traditions and cultures. Suchcelebrations provide a wholesome and enriching environment for the students to fostermeaningful and long-lasting social relationships with their peers from different races andreligions. It is also the perfect launch pad to kick-start the upcoming National Day’scelebrations that we are looking forward to.
As future leaders of Singapore, it is imperative that our students develop theirconfidence in all they undertake. They also ought to understand that as a society, relationships are important. By developing a dynamic social circle in school, our studentsgain confidence in collaborating well with others. Riding the waves of preparation fortests in life, overcoming difficulties and weaknesses and learning to shine in their areasof strengths require lots of grit and resilience. Friends provide the encouragement andmotivation for one another to continue to strive in all they do.
This year’s National Day theme pays honour and homage to the older generation whohave displayed the most inspiring confidence in working together to overcometumultuous obstacles, and thus contributed to the success of our nation-building. It is ourhope that NCPS students will emulate the bond and strong social relationships that ourolder generation has. NCPS students shall emerge as an undivided generation with anindomitable spirit who will face any obstacle confidently and courageously. With thestrong support from the school, family members, relatives and friends, we are confidentthat NCPS students will rise to the occasion.
Happy National Day!
Yours sincerely,Mr Jackson KekVice-Principal
