IT ALL BEGAN IN 1998...
NAMAA Consult was established in 1998 to contribute in the evolution of
urbanization, construction, and development in Arab Republic of Egypt and the
Arabic Nation.
NAMAA Consult was honored to have Dr. Essam Sharaf as Chairman since the
establishment, till assignment of H.E. for the Egyptian Prime Minister post.
NAMAA Consult adopted a methodology of sustainable management in order
to provide better and faster service to its customers, through the optimal
application of Consult services which is the most important requirements of the
market. Recently, the firm went through stages of growth and expansion locally
and regionally to provide better coverage to our customers.
NAMAA Consult main office is located in Al-Haram – Giza with the
management office in Dokki.
A new Branch has been established in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia early 2012.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Prof. Dr. Essam Abdulaziz Sharaf
Chairman Since establishment in 1998, Dr.Essam was named Chairman and reappointed after two consecutive political occupations (Minister of Transport & Prime Minister). Dr. Sharaf is a well-known figure not only on the political scale but also for his engineering achievements as he is currently Professor of Highway Engineering, college of engineering, Cairo University. He graduated from Cairo University (1975) and received his Master and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Purdue University, USA (1980, 1984, respectively). Dr. Sharaf is a member of several scientific and honorary national and international societies. The most important awards Dr. Sharaf received are:
Three state awards from the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology.
A presidential medal of excellence from the president of Egypt.
Man of the Year Award (Rafik El-Hariri award), Lebanon, 2006.
The distinguished Engineer award, Purdue University, USA, 2005.
Personality of the Year, International Road Federation, 2011.
Eng. AbdulMonem Hashim Ibrahim
Deputy Chairman Eng. Hashim has more than 35 years of intensive experience in the engineering industry over the Middle East region. Since NAMAA establishment he has been involved as deputy chairman, and took over through the periods of political assignment of the chairman. Eng. Hashim is a graduate from the Cairo University and holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering.
Eng. Alaa Marouf Abd Elsamad
Managing Director In 1998, Eng. Marouf co-founded NAMAA Engineering Consultant and was a key player in the process of establishment. Under his directions NAMAA became recognized as one of the premier engineering consultant in Egypt, known for its ability to provide unique solutions for difficult projects. Eng. Alaa implemented the concept of partnering with clients and delivered successful projects through innovation and collaboration. Eng. Marouf has more than 24 years of heavy engineering experience. Directed many multifaceted transportation improvement projects, and has been involved in bridges serving highways, transit and traffic improvements. He holds a bachelor in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.

Eng. Aboul-Naga Zehairy
Technical Director Eng. Zehairy joined NAMAA Board of Directors in 2009 following an acquisition in the trending industries in the local market. Eng. Abo EL Naga graduated as an architecture engineer from the University of Helwan in 1975. He has over 35 years of experience in the Planning, Architecture, and construction process industries with significant International exposure. Based in the North Africa and Middle East region over 30 years Eng. El Zohairy has worked with many of the emerging engineering companies and has been exposed continuously to the latest developing concepts in his area. He joined NAMAA to provide consultancy services to this sector and build strong team with significant planning and architecture capabilities.
Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim
Non-Executive Director Eng. Ibrahim joined the board of directors in 2009 to enrich firm wide policies with his remarkable support. He has been involved in the laboratories processes at NAMAA since 1999 and lately was assigned the Cairo office management duties. He also served as managing director deputy and acted as one through periods of regional advisory assignment of the Managing director. He Holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.
Eng. Mostafa Mohamed El-Hawary
Non-Executive Director With focus on strategic planning support Eng. Mostafa has been selected to join the board in 2009. Eng. El-Hawary has more than 17 years of technological & engineering experience, managing and supervising various multifaceted activities, projects and programs. He has been involved in managing, planning, leading, developing, and maintaining integrated information systems and knowledge management solutions. He is a graduate from Cairo University and holds a Master of Science in civil Engineering.

With his intensive experience in the field of geotechnical/ geophysical engineering, Dr.Khaled provides technical consultation and directions to NAMAA Technical Committee. Dr.Khaled has been selected to manage the Housing and building National research center, a specialized national governmental organization. He has more than 30 years of experience and holds a Doctor of philosophy from Cairo University.
Eng. Ahmed H.Kandil
In 2007 Eng. Ahmed has joined NAMAA’s technical committee to reinforce the firm capabilities in the field of Environmental Engineering. Eng. Kandil has intensive experience worldwide in this field and has been awarded the Professional Engineer certificate from USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Alexandria University and a Master of Science from Northeastern University, Boston, USA
Eng. Khaled Abdel Hakim Bayoumi
Eng. Bayoumi has joined NAMAA’s technical committee in 2010 with a focus on enhancing Information technology and telecommunications capabilities. He directs, plans and implements company-wide and sister companies supporting infrastructure in coordination with stakeholders. He has more than 16 years of experience in computer engineering especially in computer networking. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Engineering, from Mansoura University, Egypt and a Master Degree in System Dynamics, from Bergen University, Norway.
Dr. Ehab Ahmed Badr-El-Din Khalil
Dr.Ehab has been supporting NAMAA Technical Committee since 2008, with his valuable advice in the fields of non-traditional structures. He is also guiding technical activities in the Ministry of water resources. Dr.Ehab has more than 25 years of proven experience in the field and holds Bachelor degree from Cairo University and a Doctor of Philosophy from Colorado State University, USA.

Dr. Mohie has been supporting NAMAA Technical Committee since 2000, with his guiding and overall supervision of geotechnical activities. Dr. Elmashad has been involved in number of projects worldwide in Holland, Japan, Sudan, Saudi Arabia…etc. He has more than 20 years of intensive experience in the field and holds Bachelor degree from Zagazig University and a Doctor of Philosophy from Okayama University, Japan.
Dr. Wael Bekhet
Dr. Wael has been supporting NAMAA Technical Committee since 2008, with his treasured counseling in the fields of Transportation Engineering. Dr. Bekhet is an assistant professor at Alexandria University with more than 17 years of experience, holding Bachelor of Engineering from Alexandria University and Doctor of Philosophy from Carleton University, Canada.

Dr. Mohamed has been involved with NAMAA Technical Committee since 1999, with an overall supervision of traditional structures activities. He is an assistant Professor at El-Fayoum University and has more than 25 years of intensive experience in the field and holds Bachelor degree and a Doctor of Philosophy from Cairo University.

1. ENGINEERING SECTOR
Under this sector, there are several specialized technical departments in all
branches of engineering services.1. ENGINEERING SE
1.1 ENGINEERING DRAFTING Unit
Recently NAMAA Consult has established a specialized drafting unit. The EDU
is specialized in professional shop drawings and specification.
We can fairly assist on production of drawings for owners, contractors,
suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, or fabricators. EDU has developed
internal standards while it definitely can follow any international
specifications. Also working with NAMAA Consult shall overcome Problems
with design coordination, such as time consumption and ineffectiveness
related to the current 2D paper-based process. EDU can provide an early
conflict solving to increases correction the potential for errors in the field
decrease. EDU started utilizing building information models (BIM) to
facilitate assistance in coordination and clash detection processes, and allow
for increased coordination and fewer field problems.
We use specific professional methods for easy review and distribution of
comments. We believe that facilitating quick review is an essential part of
the approval process and mutually provide ample opportunity for comments.
We provide shop drawings in various forms, depending upon the needed
practice of the project.

1.2 INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING Dept.
The Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering Department provides
services in the fields of environmental engineering studies, environment
management, groundwater monitoring systems, soil and groundwater
sampling and analysis, environmental site assessments, underground
storage tank investigations and closures, water & waste water systems,
Irrigation and Hydraulics. NAMAA has conducted number of environmental
studies that has served public and private Divisions. With NAMAA's in-house
structured site assessment procedures, the possibility of hazards presence
can be easily examined. Also, Contamination investigation is provided
thoroughly by sampling and monitoring programs. All studies are done in a
timely fashion to ensure cost effectiveness.

The Geotechnical Engineering Department possesses the precise resources
necessary to carry out all types of field investigations and laboratory testing.

The Urban Planning and Architectural Design and construction Department
provides consultation architecture and structure services, starting from
master planning and modeling all through shop drawings and supervision of

The Transportation Department provides its services in the areas of Roads,
Airports, Traffic, Road Asset Management Systems, as well as Intelligent
Transport Systems and areas related to technological development. Our

inspection, topographic mapping, engineering design and construction of

Survey Department has the necessary resources to do all survey works, which
looking at the appropriate ways to represent the surface of the earth on maps
providing services which include for example but not limited to the production
of cadastral maps, setting out & detailing works, also available the necessary
sources to carry out the GIS ( Geographical information system ) based on
computer system which works on collection, maintenance, storage, analysis,

1.7 FLASH FLOOD MANAGEMENT Unit
This unit was created in line with changes in environment and to serve
number of related areas such as determination of paths and campus floods
and sub-urban, Studying of various alternatives to routes which run through
the valleys of urban blocks, conversion of riverbed / valley and establishment
of ferries and drainage channels, storage pools, dams. To select the

1.8 PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION Dept.
Project management and Construction Supervision Department is concerned
with projects involving management strategies, time schedule, performance
analysis of rates, and determination of percentage of completion. Oversee
the implementation of the business and directs periodic reports of the
different conditions.
The Department has local and regional expertise in the management of
infrastructure projects in the Middle East, and Africa.

2. INVESTMENT & STRATEGIC PLANNING SECTOR
The investment and strategic planning sector aims at the provision of
integrated services for all sectors of business, which includes most of the
engineering disciplines, administrative and social community, this is in
addition to marketing activities support and information technology to allow
the necessary environment for the development of business, and adopt a
methodology of work within the sector on a good understanding of customer
needs and adapt the latest tools and techniques to achieve maximum benefit
from available resources and maximize profitability. Services of this sector
extend beyond the stages of feasibility studies, design, presentation and
awarding and implementation, supervision, operation, maintenance and
access to the development of system management and optimum
exploitation of the assets and to achieve fruitful integration with
development plans at the state level. The sector also provides supervision to
the development of strategic plans within the internal organization.

The Human resources, financial and Legal affairs Sector with many of the
tasks related to employees, such as human resources planning, analysis and
characterization of the work, recruitment, evaluation of staff performance,
manage the process of promotions, training and human resource
development, planning career paths and also provides support and
assistance required for the firm through the development of policies, budgets
in addition to providing legal support for all aspects of partnership and
contracts between the firm and its customers.

4. LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES
The Data Collection, Laboratories and Quality Control Department provides
extended services from field data collection services and routine testing of
construction materials to consultation of complex problems related to
materials technology and applications. Services include, but are not limited to,
pavement condition data collection for roughness, visual distress, deflection
data, quality control/assurance of engineering activities, and materials testing.
Our laboratories are equipped with modern field and laboratory testing
equipment satisfying the British Standards (BS) and/or American Standards
(ASTM) in the fields of concrete, bitumen and asphalt mixes, soil and rock,
aggregate and stone, steel reinforcement and building components, chemical
and water analysis, and non-destructive testing and loading of structures. Also,
scope of services cover, asphalt and concrete mix design, consultation on
construction materials and quarrying, design of materials testing laboratories,
and conducting research programs and training courses.
At NAMAA, we maintain modern drilling and soil-rock sampling equipment
designed for site investigation purposes according to the latest technologies.
Moreover we own the latest field and laboratory testing equipment including
equipment for geophysical studies as well as mixers and pumps for grouting
purposes.
